[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants announced on the 25th that it will establish the 'Financial Big Data Analyst Certification Exam,' which tests financial and accounting knowledge as well as data analysis skills, and will conduct the first exam in January next year.
The Financial Big Data Analyst Certification Exam evaluates accounting and financial knowledge, understanding of databases necessary for extracting computer data, and statistical knowledge required for summarizing data, making predictions, and drawing conclusions. It also includes understanding of Python, which has recently gained attention as a data analysis programming language, along with practical skills in using Prodit, a Python-based data analysis and audit software.
