Renault Korea "SUV Chosen by Police Officers"... Supplying QM6 to the National Police Agency
Delivery of 67 Vehicles to Nationwide Mobile Units and Crime Investigation Departments
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Korea Motors has delivered 67 QM6 vehicles to police riot squads and criminal investigation units nationwide.
Renault Korea Motors explained on the 25th that the QM6 received favorable evaluations from on-site police officers for its basic quality and safety required for police vehicles, as well as its spaciousness, convenience, and quietness, which make it suitable for various uses such as riot squad operations and criminal investigations.
The QM6 offers excellent space utilization suitable for various police duties. Although it is a mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV), it provides interior space comparable to large or extra-large SUVs. The QM6 has a wheelbase of 2705 mm, securing a rear legroom of 289 mm. Among SUVs in its class, it has the most spacious second-row seating. The second-row seats fold perfectly in half, creating up to 2000 liters of space when combined with the trunk. This allows for personnel transport and the loading of various police and investigation equipment for riot and investigation duties.
Comfort and quietness are especially important for riot squad and investigation officers who spend much time driving and waiting inside the vehicle. To create a quiet SUV, the QM6 uses soundproof windshield glass and has increased the thickness and changed the materials of sound-absorbing and soundproofing materials to block external noise. As a result, noise entering the vehicle interior has been reduced. The engine compartment is equipped with a dash insulator that effectively absorbs noise to block it as much as possible. Additionally, a metal silencing chain is used to suppress noise that previously occurred.
