Active-duty soldier in his 20s arrested for luring woman met at club and fleeing after sexual assault
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A 20-year-old active-duty soldier who took a woman he met at a club to his home, sexually assaulted her, and fled has been apprehended by the police.
On the 24th, the Gwanak Police Station in Seoul announced that they had urgently arrested Mr. A (27) on charges of rape under the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
Mr. A is accused of sexually assaulting Ms. B, whom he met at a club, at his apartment in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, around 11 a.m. on the 23rd, and then fleeing the scene.
Police, responding to Ms. B's report, arrested Mr. A, who was hiding on another floor, within an hour.
