Son Kyung-sik, Chairman of the Korea Employers Federation, Meets Austrian Foreign Minister: "We Must Strengthen Economic Cooperation Between the Two Countries"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Sohn Kyung-shik, Chairman of the Korea Employers Federation, met with Alexander Schallenberg, Austrian Foreign Minister, and requested support for economic cooperation between the two countries as well as for hosting the 2030 Busan World Expo.
Chairman Sohn made this request on the 24th during a meeting with Minister Schallenberg at the CJ Group headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The meeting took place during Minister Schallenberg's visit to Korea to commemorate the 130th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Austria. Philip Gady, Vice Chairman of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (AFEC), and Wolfgang Angerholzer, Austrian Ambassador to Korea, also attended the meeting.
Chairman Sohn stated, “Korea and Austria share the commonality of overcoming limited territory and scarce natural resources to grow into export-oriented manufacturing countries,” and added, “We look forward to future cooperation between Korea, which has advanced automotive and cutting-edge technologies, and Austria, which has strengths in eco-friendly and automotive parts industries.”
