A Woman in Her 20s Who Assaulted Anti-Smoking Officers... This Time Blocking Cars and Attacking Drivers
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] A woman in her 20s, who is accused of assaulting a district office official while cracking down on smoking, was once again arrested by the police for blocking a passing car and assaulting the driver.
On the 21st, the Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced that they have booked and are investigating a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on charges of assault.
On the 19th at around 8:30 PM, A is accused of blocking a passing car at the Gangbuk-gu Office intersection in Beondong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, repeatedly assaulting the driver, B, and spitting on him. A also kicked B’s vehicle.
The police have applied for an arrest warrant for A on charges including assault. The Seoul Northern District Court conducted a warrant hearing that morning. A’s detention decision is expected to be made as early as that evening.
The police stated that they are considering applying additional charges of property damage against A for kicking B’s vehicle.
