Director Jang Hang-jun's Theater Debut Work 'Sanai Watanabe' Opens on the 25th
[Asia Economy Reporter Seo Mideum] Director Jang Hang-jun's theatrical debut work, Sanai Watanabe, will open on the 25th at Daehangno Plus Theater.
The play Sanai Watanabe, produced in 2010 as part of the "Director Comes to the Stage" series, depicts the friendship and life that unfold as film director Manchun makes a movie about the life of Zainichi Korean Yakuza Watanabe.
The production was handled by Insight Entertainment Co., Ltd., which has presented musicals such as The Days, Sandglass, and Me and Natasha and the White Donkey. Director Jang Hang-jun led the project, with Hwang Hee-won directing and Oh Se-hyuk writing.
Seo Hyun-cheol, Son Jong-hak, and Yoo Byung-hoon were cast as Watanabe Shinichi, the lead role, while Gi Se-jung, Yoo Soo-bin, and Lim Jin-seop were cast as Manchun.
