Professor Jo Jeong-hyeong of Pukyong National University Appointed President of the Korean Society of Marine Design
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Professor Jo Jeong-hyeong of Pukyong National University has been appointed as the 4th president of the Korea Marine Design Society under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. The term is two years until October 2024.
Founded in 2013, the Korea Marine Design Society is dedicated to the development of marine design as a central academic field through activities that combine marine sectors and design, such as spreading marine design, researching related new technologies, and training professionals.
Professor Jo Jeong-hyeong serves as the director of the Marine Convergence Design Institute at Pukyong National University and the head of the MADEC Marine Engineering Education and Research Group, and has served as vice president of the Korea Society of Design Science.

He is currently active as vice president of the Korea Public Design Society and plans to conduct various exchanges and research with the Korea Marine Design Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries in the future.
