150 Companies Participating, Over 250 Expected Hires

'Jeonnam Women's Job Fair' on the 27th at Yeosu Heungguk Gymnasium

[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] Yeosu City (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that the ‘Jeonnam Women’s Job Fair’ will be held on the 27th at Yeosu Heungguk Gymnasium under the slogan ‘Il JOB GO, Hope JOB GO’.

Hosted by Jeollanam-do and Yeosu City and organized by the Yeosu Women’s Human Resources Development Center, this fair is designed to connect local women hoping for a new start with jobs and provide employment and entrepreneurship information.

A total of 150 companies, including on-site hiring companies and indirect hiring companies, will participate in this fair to meet women from the Yeosu and Gwangyang areas seeking employment.

The fair venue will be operated with four halls and 60 booths, including the Recruitment Hall, Employment Preparation Hall, Job Information Hall, and Entrepreneurship Hall.

At the Recruitment Hall, on-site consultations for job seekers and employers and hiring will take place. On the day of the event, those who write their resumes and visit the Recruitment Hall can have on-site interviews with HR managers from each company.

The Employment Preparation Hall and Job Information Hall will introduce promising jobs for women and support aptitude tests to help decide desired occupations. In addition, a one-stop service covering the entire employment process will be provided, including resume writing, image making for interviews, and resume photo shooting services.

Various side events will also be held. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Yeosu Women’s Human Resources Development Center, a special gallery showcasing the history of women’s jobs and vocational training will be opened, and special lectures on successful entrepreneurship stories and application documents will be conducted.

A city official said, “We hope that this on-site fair, held for the first time in three years since COVID-19, will be a valuable meeting place for promising local companies and many women seeking employment. We ask for the interest and participation of local women in this fair, where they can obtain quality jobs.”
