[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Kim Yong-tae, a three-term former lawmaker, has been appointed as the head of the Yeouido Institute (Yeoyeon), the think tank of the People Power Party.
The Emergency Committee of the People Power Party approved the appointment of former lawmaker Kim as the head of Yeoyeon at the Emergency Committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the 20th.
Newly appointed Director Kim served as a member of the 18th to 20th National Assembly, and during the 20th National Assembly, he held the positions of Secretary-General and Special Committee Chair of the ruling party's predecessor, the Liberty Korea Party.
