Hyundai Motor Group Announces Recruitment for Softier Bootcamp Participants
Fostering Software Talent Through Recruitment-Linked Programs
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Group has launched the recruitment for participants in the 'Softeer Bootcamp 2023,' a hiring-linked training program. This is the first time Hyundai Motor Group is hosting a bootcamp.
On the 20th, Hyundai Motor Group announced that it is recruiting participants for the 'Softeer Bootcamp 2023' until the 28th, aiming to directly cultivate capable new software developers and to hire talented individuals with excellent skills early.
Softeer is a compound word of Software and Engineer, also carrying the meaning of a frontier in the vehicle software field. Hyundai Motor Group operates various programs under the Softeer brand to strengthen software capabilities.
This bootcamp selects participants by evaluating only basic coding skills and fundamental knowledge related to software development, without an interview process. Selected candidates will be given an opportunity to enhance their skills through eight weeks of professional developer training.
Participants can acquire practical experience by performing team projects that cover the entire process from software development to deployment in real field settings after one month of theoretical education. Teams with outstanding performance will receive prize money. Additionally, Hyundai Motor and Kia employees will participate as mentors, offering diverse programs such as job introductions and networking events.
Hyundai Motor Group provides not only skill enhancement but also opportunities for hiring conversion. All trainees will undergo recruitment interviews, and those selected can join Hyundai Motor and Kia without additional procedures. Even those not selected will receive benefits during future new developer recruitment based on their interview results.
The Softeer Bootcamp, targeting individuals who can join Hyundai Motor and Kia by September next year, is open to any university (graduate) students expected to graduate between January and August next year.
