SIAL Paris 2022 is the world's largest food exhibition held for the first time in four years at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in France. A total of 7,200 companies from 120 countries are participating, showcasing innovative and excellent products.
APIFS operates various support programs to enhance the value and growth of agri-food companies that have successfully attracted investment through the Agricultural, Forestry, and Fisheries Food Investment Association. In particular, it regularly operates promotional booths at major international exhibitions to help companies engage in overseas marketing activities such as developing new sales channels.
The companies participating in this exhibition are six in total: Dalrol Company Co., Ltd., The Planit Co., Ltd., Barun Co., Ltd., Vegistar Co., Ltd., Seongil Farm Agricultural Corporation Co., Ltd., and Join & Join Co., Ltd. APIFS supported the investee companies by covering booth rental fees, promotional booth setup costs, and professional interpreters.
Kim Hansu, CEO of Barun Co., Ltd., said, “Through APIFS’s operation of the investee companies’ promotional booth, we were able to reduce the burden of participating in the exhibition,” adding, “This exhibition participation seems to be a good opportunity for overseas expansion.”
Park Kibum, CEO of Dalrol Company Co., Ltd., said, “By participating in SIAL Paris 2022, the world’s largest food exhibition, we were able to explore opportunities to export gluten-free products to Europe following our entry into the U.S. and Hong Kong markets, gaining great momentum for Dalrol Company to grow into a global company.”
Yang Jaesik, CEO of The Planit Co., Ltd., stated, “It was a meaningful exhibition where we could feel the high interest in plant-based foods along with the F&B trends in the European market.”
Jung Seongbong, Head of Investment Operations at APIFS, who oversaw the promotional booth operations, said, “It helped us understand international food industry trends and discover promising investment areas in agri-food,” adding, “We will continue to support the overseas marketing and export competitiveness enhancement of investee companies participating in the exhibition.”
