Crystal Bioscience and Genexis Complete Selection of 'FindingBio' First Cohort
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Chun-hee] Crystal Bioscience and Genexis announced on the 19th that they have selected six companies through the bio-healthcare startup program ‘Finding BIO.’ Finding BIO is a program that discovers promising startups in the bio-healthcare industry and provides focused nurturing and investment. It is the first project jointly operated by CBS and Genexis.
In the first cohort, over 130 startups applied, and a total of six companies were finally selected: two in digital healthcare, two in new drugs and diagnostics, one in pet health, and one in regenerative medicine. The selected companies are ▲Dolbom Dream (HUGgy, an AI-based smart care vest that helps psychological stability) ▲Inhand Plus (AI smartwatch-based digital medication management solution) ▲Ropel Bio (PD-L1 combination biomarker technology utilizing the characteristics of DRG2, a key component of the PD-L1 recycle mechanism) ▲Twin Pig Bio Lab (development of peptide new drugs that target TAM (tumor-associated macrophage) to regulate the tumor microenvironment and enhance the efficacy of anticancer drugs) ▲H-Flex (pet self-diagnosis service and health management solution platform), and ▲Medicos Biotech (tissue regeneration and anti-aging solutions using spider silk protein and growth factors).
Going forward, various benefits will be provided, including direct investment of up to 1 billion KRW per company for outstanding graduates, IR consulting, expert mentoring on research and development/business planning and execution, customized mentoring according to new drug development cycles, ▲utilization of CBS affiliate infrastructure and employee mentoring, and ▲support for follow-up investment attraction using demo days and domestic and international operator networks.
