Regarding President Yoon's verbal slip, he pointed out that the problem lies not only in the mistake itself but also in the way it was handled afterward.
On the same day, Kim appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and shared his thoughts on President Yoon's governance five months after his inauguration. He said, "Considering the various situations currently faced, there is not much that can be done in the short term," and added, "The president needs to deeply contemplate how to organize and resolve the country's medium- to long-term issues."
Regarding President Yoon's low approval ratings in the 20-30% range, Kim described it as "a rare and strange phenomenon with few precedents," explaining, "It is because the expectations held during the election were not met after the government was launched." He said, "President Yoon has not explained what he would do or how if there was a regime change," and criticized, "He vaguely talked about fairness and common sense, but since there were only words without concrete implementation plans, the future appears bleak. Therefore, so-called moderate supporters naturally drift away from President Yoon."
Criticism also continued regarding President Yoon's verbal slips. Kim said, "Politicians must be cautious with their words," adding, "If they speak freely just because they want to, frequent mistakes are inevitable." About the controversy over the profanity during his visit to the U.S., he said, "Nearly 75% of the general public acknowledge that the profanity was indeed used, and it would have been better to handle the issue wisely. However, by saying he does not remember, negative public opinion seems to have intensified." Kim pointed out, "People can make mistakes occasionally, but the important task is to correct them quickly," and added, "That was not done properly."
Regarding the heated disputes between the ruling and opposition parties over the West Sea civil servant killing incident, Kim predicted it would not have explosive impact. He said, "Since the current government decided to a certain extent how far to escalate, it is hard to definitively say how it will proceed," but also mentioned, "Honestly, it is worth considering whether the public really paid much attention to that incident."

Kim viewed the core of the ruling party's internal turmoil surrounding the disciplinary action against former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok as President Yoon's attempt to take control of the party. He said, "Those who become president tend to try to make the party that elected them their own," and added, "I think this is a phenomenon that appeared during that process." Regarding the conflict that erupted within the ruling party shortly after taking office, Kim described it as "an unprecedented situation," and said, "President Yoon does not understand politics well, and former leader Lee also lacks political savvy, so there seems to have been a failure to maintain certain boundaries."
