Busan City and Busan Office of Education Hold 'Busan Education Administration Council'... Discuss Future Generation Education Policies
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City and Busan Metropolitan Office of Education held the ‘2022 Second Half Education Administration Council’ at 10:30 a.m. on the 19th in the video conference room on the 7th floor of City Hall to create education policies for the future of children.
The ‘Education Administration Council,’ where Busan City and the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education meet, has been held twice a year to efficiently address local education issues such as closing the education gap and supporting educational projects.
At the meeting, a total of 13 agenda items proposed by Busan City and the Office of Education were discussed in depth.
Busan City proposed 8 items and requested cooperation from the Office of Education, including ▲temporary opening of school parking lots during typhoon approaches ▲activation of community life zones through improvement and sharing of school facilities ▲school sports facilities ▲creation of community sports facilities using school idle land ▲expansion of lifelong education institutions for people with developmental disabilities ▲support for attracting foreign educational institutions in the Free Economic Zone ▲rational use plans for idle land in the Centum Industrial Complex ▲renewal of the free lease contract for the Busan Forest Education Center.
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education requested 5 items from Busan City, including ▲activation of local care projects ▲cooperation for normalization of Bujeon Library ▲request for use of Busan Global Village facilities ▲expansion of school zone visibility enhancement projects and priority improvement of poor school routes ▲consultation on the 2023 statutory transfer budget allocation.
