Sokcho Coast Guard Catches '4 Major Safety Neglect Practices' in Water Leisure Activities
Special Crackdown During Peak Season from June to September... Violations Including Unlicensed Operation
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Sokcho Maritime Police Station conducted a special crackdown on the "4 Major Safety Neglect Practices" directly related to safety and detected 20 cases, including unlicensed operation.
According to Sokcho Maritime Police on the 19th, from June this year to last month, the number of violations hindering water leisure safety during the peak season were ▲ 8 cases of violations in the business area of powered water leisure operations ▲ 11 cases of safety neglect practices such as unlicensed operation, failure to undergo safety inspections, and violations of water leisure prohibited zones ▲ 1 case of unregistered water leisure business operations without lifeguards and emergency rescue boats.
Compared to last year's crackdown mostly on non-powered water leisure activities (21 cases), this year there were more crackdowns on powered water leisure activities (20 cases).
