Hwasun-gun Receives Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Commendation at Mountain Day Event

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyuk-jun] Jeollanam-do Hwasun-gun (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 18th that it received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Commendation at the ‘21st Mountain Day’ event held at Suncheon Bay National Garden.

This commendation, hosted by the Korea Forest Service, rewards individuals who have contributed to the promotion of forest welfare such as forest culture, recreation, healing, education, and hiking, as well as the development of forestry.

Kim Doo-hwan, head of the Forest Resources Team, who received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Commendation, was selected in recognition of his distinguished dedication and passion in faithfully carrying out the creation of valuable forest resources by promoting key forestry resource projects such as afforestation since 2009.

He also made significant contributions to the development of forestry administration and the implementation of Hwasun-gun policies, including regionally specialized afforestation projects actively promoted by Jeollanam-do.

A county official said, “We will continue to do our best with one heart and one mind, along with all the staff of the forestry industry, for the development of forestry in Hwasun-gun.”
