National Pension Service Notifies Visually Impaired of Review Results in Braille and Audio
Provided in Desired Formats: Braille, Audio Conversion Barcode, and Daisy File
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The National Pension Service announced that starting from the 18th, it will send review decision documents in Braille or audio format to visually impaired individuals.
A National Pension review request is an act by subscribers or beneficiaries who object to the Service's disposition, requesting cancellation or modification of the disposition. When a review request is received, the Service deliberates the request through the National Pension Review Committee and notifies the claimant of the result.
From now on, visually impaired individuals can choose to receive such review decision documents in ▲Braille print ▲audio conversion barcode scannable by smartphone ▲or a DAISY (Digital Accessible Information System) file with audio conversion capability.
Applications can be made through the National Pension website, mobile app, by mail, or in person, and separate applications are also possible after submitting a review request.
Additionally, starting in December, the Service plans to provide an 'Electronic Braille Generation Service' on its website, allowing users to access 17 items including news updates, press releases, and 'Easy-to-Understand National Pension' materials via Braille print or audio support services.
