DB HiTek Expands 3rd Generation MOSFET Lineup... "Will Enter Electric Vehicle Market"
650V→600V·700V Process Added
HTRB Quality Test Scheduled for Completion Within the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Ye-joo] DB HiTek is ramping up the mass production volume of its 3rd generation products, actively advancing its next-generation Super Junction MOSFET (SJ MOSFET) business. Recently, in addition to the already mass-produced 650V process, the company has developed 600V and 700V processes to expand its product lineup and strengthen competitiveness.
According to DB HiTek on the 18th, MOSFETs are key components applied in power supply units of consumer electronics and various IT devices, responsible for switching and signal amplification functions. Their demand is rapidly increasing thanks to the widespread adoption of electronic devices characterized by high voltage and high efficiency.
DB HiTek’s 3rd generation SJ MOSFET process features improved performance by reducing resistance (Rsp) by 50% to 60% compared to the 2nd generation and reducing chip size. Additionally, options such as Low EMI (electromagnetic interference), high-speed switching, fast recovery diode (FRD), and high electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection are provided.
It also supports on-resistance ranging from 25 to 600 mOhm and uses standard packages such as TO-220, TO-220F, TO-247, D2PAK, and DPAK, making it applicable to various fields including electric vehicle charging, UPS (uninterruptible power supply), servers, fast charging, home appliances, PC power supplies, lighting, and adapters.
In particular, the company plans to complete the HTRB (High Temperature Reverse Bias) quality test under the vehicle high-temperature reliability evaluation condition of 100% drain voltage (100% Vdd) within this year. Based on this, DB HiTek aims to expand into high value-added markets such as automotive and industrial sectors.
Currently, DB HiTek supplies 2nd generation SJ MOSFET products with various voltage ratings (500V, 600V, 650V, 700V, 800V) to global manufacturers in China, Taiwan, and Japan. Through the 3rd generation products, the company expects to accelerate its entry from existing consumer electronics and IT devices into automotive and industrial fields, anticipating further growth in customer demand.
