Gyeongnam Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, Busan·Ulsan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, and Global Innovation Center signed an agreement to support local startups' entry into the Chinese market.

According to the Gyeongnam Center, the Global Innovation Center (KIC China) was established in Beijing in June 2016 and is a non-profit government organization under the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of the Republic of Korea that supports Korean technology startups and science and technology companies in pioneering the Chinese market.
The Gyeongnam Center stated that the agreement was pursued to jointly promote cooperation matters regarding support for domestic startups, including the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region, to enter the Chinese market.
The three institutions agreed to join forces for the overall growth of regional startups and entry into the Chinese market by conducting regular online and offline business consultations and implementing cooperation programs to ensure the smooth implementation of this agreement.
The main contents of the agreement include ▲providing Chinese startup support services to Korean startups ▲introducing and supporting participation in excellent Chinese startup competitions ▲supporting startup and management education and industrial inspection tailored to entry into the Chinese market ▲participation in investment attraction events in China and support for investment consultations.

A center official said, “Through direct cooperation with institutions fostering technology startups and science and technology in China, we will provide practical opportunities to startups in the Bu-Ul-Gyeong region, which are leading new content industries and technological innovation based on manufacturing,” adding, “It is expected to create successful cases through the establishment of an environment for entering China and the promotion of localization projects.”
