The Korea Forest Protection Association Jeonnam Council Conducts Wildfire Protection and Cleanup Activities in Damyang
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Jeonnam Council of the Korea Forest Protection Association (President Jo Hangyu) announced on the 17th that it conducted a wildfire protection campaign and cleanup activities around Damyang Juknokwon and Gwanbangcheon on the 15th.
This event was organized to raise public awareness about wildfires in light of the significant property damage and displaced persons caused by wildfires in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk this year.
The Jeonnam branch of the Korea Forest Protection Association distributed wildfire prevention promotional foam boards and actively promoted wildfire prevention measures such as prohibiting littering and cooking in rivers and banning the possession of flammable materials, in response to the increase in tourists following the recovery from COVID-19.
Jo Hangyu, president of the Jeonnam Council, expressed gratitude to the members, including Kim Donggi, head of the Boseong County branch, and Lee Jaeseok, head of the Yeongam County branch, for their active participation in the campaign.
