KT&G Scholarship Foundation Hosts 'Social Innovation Idea Contest'
Creative Ideas from University Students to Solve Social Issues... Scholarship Awards Presented to Outstanding Teams
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT&G Scholarship Foundation announced on the 17th that it will hold a 'Social Innovation Idea Contest' for university students nationwide to discover social innovation talents with creative ideas.
The Social Innovation Idea Contest is conducted to support the discovery and growth of innovative talents who actively take interest in and contemplate issues related to society, climate environment, and youth/university students.
This contest is open for teams of 2 to 4 university students until the 6th of next month, and any ideas related to services, products, or projects aimed at solving various social problems can be submitted. Detailed information can be found on the KT&G Scholarship Foundation website.
The first round of screening is document-based, where experts in related fields evaluate and select the top 21 teams, including 6 teams advancing to the finals. All selected teams will receive a scholarship and certificate, and will participate in education and mentoring by senior entrepreneurs to concretize their ideas. Subsequently, after the second interview screening of the 6 finalist teams, the final outstanding teams will be selected on December 3rd.
To ensure the successful progress of this contest, KT&G Scholarship Foundation signed business agreements with 'Impact Alliance' and 'NestND,' representative organizations in the social venture industry, and plans to build a mutual cooperation system for the sustainable growth of social innovation talents.
