US "Resetting Relations with Saudi Arabia... Biden Has No Plans to Meet Crown Prince at G20"
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] The White House confirmed its stance on resetting relations with Saudi Arabia, which led the decision by major oil-producing countries to cut production. It also emphasized that China and India, along with the rest of the world, must send a firm message opposing the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons.
Jake Sullivan, U.S. National Security Advisor, appeared on CNN on the 16th (local time) and stated that President Joe Biden "does not plan to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the G20 summit." Regarding the previously announced plan to reset relations with Saudi Arabia, he explained, "President Biden will not act abruptly," adding, "The president will act systematically and strategically, and will consult thoroughly with both the Democratic and Republican parties."
Earlier this month, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Plus (OPEC+) agreed to cut production by 2 million barrels per day, the largest reduction since March 2020, despite the United States' explicit opposition. The U.S. views this production cut decision, centered on Saudi Arabia, as effectively 'taking Russia's side.' It also sees this decision as linked to U.S. national security interests and has announced plans to reset relations with Saudi Arabia. In the U.S. Congress, there have been numerous calls to halt all cooperation with Saudi Arabia.

Advisor Sullivan also expressed concerns about the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons. He emphasized, "All responsible countries worldwide, including China and India, must send a very clear and firm message to Russia that nuclear use must not be considered." He also reiterated a warning that any form of nuclear attack by Russia, which invaded Ukraine, will never be tolerated.
