BNK Gyeongnam Bank Joins Korean Red Cross as a 'Red Cross Honors Company'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] BNK Gyeongnam Bank has added its name to the Red Cross Honors Companies following its designation as a Sharing Excellence Company.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank joined as the 7th Red Cross Honors Company in Gyeongnam.
The Red Cross Honors Company is a high-value corporate donation certification program, a sharing platform provided by the Korean Red Cross to enable companies to create and share social value with socially vulnerable groups through humanitarian efforts.
At the Red Cross Honors Company induction ceremony held at the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Branch, Group Leader Ko Young-jun attended and received a certification plaque from Chairman Kim Jong-gil.
Subsequently, the Red Cross Honors Company plaque engraved with the BNK Gyeongnam Bank logo was registered in the Hall of Fame at the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Branch.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank pays special membership fees annually to the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Branch and has been engaged in donation activities to support vulnerable groups and crime victims.
In 2019, the bank donated a mobile meal vehicle (rice truck) worth approximately 150 million KRW to the Korean Red Cross Gyeongnam Branch.
The mobile meal vehicle has been used not only to support free meal services for low-income individuals but also to provide meals to disaster victims and recovery workers during emergencies.
