英 ARM Holds Technology Event in Korea Following Taiwan and Japan
ARM to Host 'Tech Symposia 2022' on the 17th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] ARM, a UK semiconductor intellectual property (IP) company that gained attention alongside the possibility of acquisition by Samsung Electronics, will hold its annual technology event, Tech Symposia, in South Korea next month.
According to the semiconductor industry on the 14th, ARM will hold Tech Symposia 2022 in four Asian countries including South Korea, China, Taiwan, and Japan starting next month. In South Korea, an offline event will be held for the first time since 2019 on the 17th of next month at the InterContinental Seoul COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It is scheduled to be the third event following Taiwan and Japan.
Tech Symposia is an annual event where ARM introduces its innovative technologies and reviews industry trends with partners and other stakeholders. Engineers and developers working in various fields such as foundry (semiconductor contract manufacturing), system-in-package (SiP), original equipment manufacturing (OEM), original design manufacturing (ODM), and software are invited to participate. This year, discussions will focus on areas including cloud computing, automotive, Internet of Things (IoT), and the metaverse.

The event will feature a welcome speech by Hwang Seon-wook, head of ARM Korea, and a keynote speech by Dennis Rodick, ARM Vice President. There will also be a partner keynote speech by Hwang Seon-woo, CEO of VisionNext, a system semiconductor company spun off from Hanwha Techwin last year. Domestic partners such as Gaonchips and CoAsia will also attend the afternoon session to present on ARM IP solutions and automotive system-on-chip (SoC) design platforms, respectively.
