Gyeongnam National University and Chungnam National University have signed a business agreement to train specialized personnel in SW/AI.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] The Smart Manufacturing ICT Project Group of the Ulsan·Gyeongnam Regional Innovation Platform at Gyeongnam National University signed a business agreement on the 12th at the Changjo Hall with the SW/AI Project Group of the Daejeon·Sejong·Chungnam Regional Innovation Platform at Chungnam National University to foster specialized personnel in SW/AI.
On this day, through the agreement, both institutions promised continuous mutual cooperation between regions for the ‘Local Government-University Cooperation-Based Regional Innovation Project,’ including ▲development of software technology and AI technology based on deep learning and machine learning ▲development of core software, hardware, services, interfaces, and platforms for the autonomous driving mobility industry and ecosystem ▲training of necessary convergence personnel and creation of a sustainable industrial ecosystem.
Jung Min-su, head of the Smart Manufacturing ICT Project Group at Gyeongnam National University, said, “Education in the SW/AI application field is essential to succeed in educational innovation at the stage of carrying out the third-year project,” adding, “As the project groups of both regions have promised active cooperation through this agreement, we will strive to expand industry participation and employment rates to achieve regional innovation early.”

He continued, “Together with the SW/AI Project Group of the Daejeon·Sejong·Chungnam Regional Innovation Platform at Chungnam National University, we will focus on fostering local talent by jointly utilizing the Big Data Sharing Platform Center project and establishing linked programs such as NHN Academy.”
