Yuhan-Kimberly's Huggies Diapers Reach Cumulative Donation of 10 Million Units
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] Yuhan-Kimberly announced on the 13th that the cumulative donation of Huggies diapers has surpassed 10 million pieces.
Since starting the 'Yuhan-Kimberly Hope Bank' diaper donation program in 2012, Huggies has provided diapers through various activities, including campaigns for preemie-sized diapers (small size).
Yuhan-Kimberly Huggies' diaper sharing projects are carried out through three programs: 'Hope Bank,' 'Preemie Campaign,' and 'Good Action.'
The Hope Bank diaper sharing program repackages some unopened size-exchange diapers that would otherwise be discarded into new products through volunteer work by Yuhan-Kimberly employees and donates them to vulnerable groups such as local child welfare institutions, single mother facilities, and low-income families.
The Preemie Campaign was launched to care for 'preemies,' newborns born before 37 weeks of gestation or weighing less than 2.5 kg at birth. Since 2017, Yuhan-Kimberly has been supplying Huggies Nature Made preemie diapers with separate investments.
Additionally, since 2020, Yuhan-Kimberly has started the Good Action program to urgently support diapers for low-income single-parent families and temporary infant care facilities with weak social foundations. Approximately 460,000 pieces have been supported to date.
