CJ Logistics announced on the 13th that it held the 6th Global IT Workshop to strengthen IT competitiveness. The workshop, first held in 2017, was attended by 43 IT leaders from five key affiliates including CJ Logistics headquarters, the Singapore branch, and affiliates in the United States, India, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
This workshop aimed to create synergy by sharing best practices with global affiliates and internalizing core technologies. During the workshop, participants shared advanced IT systems by country, IT infrastructure and security enhancement strategies, and the establishment of a standard mobile platform, with the purpose of strengthening global responses to cyber intrusions and ransomware attacks on logistics centers.
Now in its sixth iteration, the workshop has become an opportunity to share various IT issues, and global affiliates have reportedly strengthened their IT capabilities. As the transfer of logistics IT technology from headquarters expands, global affiliates appear to be accelerating their evolution into advanced IT companies.
The Global IT Workshop consisted of a total of 13 sessions where presenters from each branch discussed topics related to IT and logistics. After presentations on various subjects ranging from business strategies through logistics IT innovation to IT cost reduction cases, discussions were held on global information security trends and IT support measures from headquarters.
The Global IT Workshop was organized to lead automation, optimization, and intelligence based on TES (Technology, Engineering, System & Solution), the core technological competencies that will drive future logistics. Through the workshop, CJ Logistics is sharing the latest technologies in the global logistics market and moving closer to evolving into a data-driven IT company.
