Jin Air Launches Eco-Friendly 'Green Flight' Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Jin Air announced on the 13th that it held an eco-friendly 'Green Flight' campaign as part of its ESG management practice.
Jin Air planned this event to reduce resource use and further enhance customer convenience by promoting mobile boarding passes. Using mobile boarding passes reduces paper usage, contributing to eco-friendly practices. Passengers can move directly from the departure hall to the boarding gate without waiting to issue a boarding pass at the airport, allowing for a faster and more convenient air travel experience.
The offline event was held the day before on flight LJ347 from Gimpo to Busan. On that day, Jin Air gave solid toothpaste to passengers who used mobile boarding passes at the Gimpo Airport boarding gate. An environmental quiz event was also held onboard, and passengers who answered correctly received an eco-friendly Aderapy wash set released by Lotte Home Shopping along with a coupon for using a Green Car electric vehicle.
Additionally, by giving reusable cups to all passengers, Jin Air raised awareness of the importance of our planet through this campaign and provided customers with an opportunity to participate in eco-friendly activities.
Before holding the Green Flight, Jin Air opened an online eco-friendly event on the 30th of last month and simultaneously announced this offline campaign. As a result, the mobile boarding pass usage rate for flight LJ347 on the 12th increased by more than 80% compared to usual, showing that many passengers participated in this campaign.
The ongoing online event is targeted at domestic flights and will continue until the 31st. Any Jin Air member can enter. Jin Air will give 50 participants who use mobile boarding passes a Lotte Home Shopping Aderapy wash set composed of eco-friendly products through a draw, and 200 participants will receive solid toothpaste.

Web and mobile check-in is available from 24 hours before the flight departure, and passengers can complete check-in on the website or app using a PC or smartphone and use the issued mobile boarding pass at the airport. Jin Air stated, “We will continue to practice ESG management through more activities to protect the environment and sustain various customer-centered events.”
