Police Detain and Send to Prosecution a Man in His 30s Who Committed Another Crime During Illegal Filming Investigation
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] A man who was under non-custodial investigation for illegal filming charges was caught by the police for committing the same crime again and has been handed over to the prosecution in custody.
On the 12th, the Dongjak Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, to the prosecution in custody on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, including sexual purpose public place intrusion and filming using a camera.
Mr. A was booked by the Jungnang Police Station on suspicion of attempting illegal filming after breaking into a house in Myeonmok-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul on the 30th of last month. The police identified Mr. A by analyzing CCTV footage following a victim's report.

Earlier, on July 25th around 4 p.m., Mr. A also illegally filmed by installing a portable camera bodycam in a women's restroom inside a building in Dongjak-gu.
