Korea Island Promotion Agency Holds 'Anti-Corruption and Integrity' Pledge Ceremony

The Korea Island Promotion Agency (President Oh Dongho) announced on the 12th that it held an anti-corruption and integrity practice pledge ceremony with all executives and employees attending at the Kim Daejung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall multipurpose hall.
The pledge ceremony proceeded in the order of ▲anti-corruption and integrity practice pledge and reading ▲anti-corruption and integrity slogan contest awards ▲anti-corruption and integrity education.
Earlier, the Korea Island Promotion Agency selected one ‘Integrity Keeper’ from each department. On this day, two representatives of the ‘Youth Keeper’ signed and read aloud the seven behavioral practices to be observed to realize an honest public service and a fair society on behalf of all executives and employees.
The pledge included contents of the ‘Act on the Prohibition of Improper Solicitation and Graft’ such as eradication of solicitation and fairness in job performance.
Awarding was also held for the anti-corruption and integrity slogan contest. Over the past three weeks, 44 executives and employees of the Korea Island Promotion Agency submitted 51 diverse and creative slogans, and four excellent works were selected and awarded.
Cho Minsu, Deputy Director of the Audit Office at the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, served as the instructor and explained the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, Code of Conduct for Executives and Employees, and eradication of power abuse.
Oh Dongho, President of the Korea Island Promotion Agency, said, “The anti-corruption and integrity practices pledged today are not a one-time event,” and urged all executives and employees to “remember the commitment made today and always reflect with the standard of ‘integrity,’ even though unjust acts often return disguised as ‘recognition’ and ‘custom.’”

Meanwhile, the Korea Island Promotion Agency is promoting various integrity policies such as the integrity slogan contest, selection of the integrity and kindness employee of the month, and operating ‘Mutual Respect Day’ every Wednesday to improve integrity.
