Participation Opportunity Provided to All Applicants
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Aegis Asset Management is operating a pilot program to introduce a workation system that allows employees to work while on vacation.
Aegis Asset Management announced on the 12th that it will operate a weekly workation pilot program seven times in total from the 4th to November 18th. This program provides participation opportunities to all employees who apply. About 15 employees are expected to participate in each session. Workation is a compound word of ‘Work’ and ‘Vacation,’ referring to a work style that allows people to enjoy vacation while working.
Participating employees will stay and work in Jeju Island for five days and enjoy leisure time freely after work. The accommodations have been selected as hotels and resorts equipped with workation work environments. Additionally, employees can work at shared offices near the accommodations.
Aegis Asset Management is considering introducing the workation system to promote employees’ mental and physical recovery and enhance communication. This pilot program is conducted to gather employees’ opinions before launching the official program.
