Jungjinkong "Supporting SME Employees' Education and Welfare Improvement through Naeilchaeumgongje"
Expansion of Benefits Including Free Job Training, Vacation Allowance Support, and Group Accident Insurance
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Small and Medium Business Corporation (Chairman Kim Hak-do, hereinafter referred to as SBC) announced on the 11th that it is providing various education and welfare services to subscribers of the Naeil Chaeum Deduction to improve the welfare of employees working in small and medium-sized ventures.
Operating since 2014, the Naeil Chaeum Deduction is a system where small and medium-sized ventures and employees jointly save a fixed amount monthly for five years, and upon maturity, the entire accumulated amount is paid to the employee. Employees gain opportunities for long-term employment and lump-sum savings, while companies benefit from stable retention of excellent personnel, enhancing productivity and competitiveness. As of the end of August this year, the cumulative number of subscribers reached approximately 790,000, with 230,000 having matured.
The main education programs fully supported free of charge for deduction subscribers include e-learning education linked with the Small and Medium Business Training Institute and corporate voucher education utilizing external professional institutions. E-learning covers areas such as job competency improvement and smart factories, with an ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) education course newly established this year. Corporate voucher education offers about 3,000 educational contents ranging from specialized job courses to certification acquisition courses reflecting market demand.
Additionally, the vacation expense support project, jointly promoted by the Korea Tourism Organization and SBC, is considered the most preferred benefit by deduction subscribers, with a total of 3,500 beneficiaries selected this year. Through this project, SBC supports a company contribution of 100,000 KRW, allowing selected subscribers to pay only 200,000 KRW themselves and use a total of 400,000 KRW for travel expenses. Furthermore, to prepare for safety accidents, free group accident insurance enrollment is also supported. The target number of beneficiaries has been significantly expanded from 3,500 last year to 100,000 new deduction subscribers this year.

Jang Geun, Head of the SBC Job Headquarters, stated, "The Naeil Chaeum Deduction not only encourages long-term employment of employees in small and medium-sized ventures but also contributes to narrowing the wage gap between large and small-medium enterprises." He added, "Going forward, SBC will continue to strive to expand education and welfare benefits that are difficult to implement independently due to the conditions of small and medium-sized ventures."
