[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Women's Development Center is partnering with local companies to hold a Women's Job Fair. A total of 163 companies will participate, aiming to hire 335 people.
On the 11th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that, to actively discover women's jobs that have been contracted due to COVID-19, it will hold regional Women's Job Fairs in collaboration with the Seoul Women's Development Center. The fairs will be held in the western region on the 13th, the central region from the 19th to the 21st, and the northern region on the 27th.
The Women's Job Fair will be held under the theme "Increasing Job Satisfaction Together with the Community (UP)" and will offer various services including an on-site recruitment hall, employment consulting hall, expert and job special lectures, promising job experience hall, startup hall, and event hall, providing not only information necessary for women's employment and entrepreneurship but also diverse job experiences and employment support services.
Additionally, to support the successful startup of prospective and early-stage entrepreneurs, a special lecture titled "Writing a Business Plan for Policy Fund Application" will be held, introducing policy funds, how to write a business plan according to support requirements, and providing one-on-one mentoring.
The Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation will also offer consultations on recovery support such as tailored education and consulting, loan (credit guarantee) support, and initial capital support for entrepreneurs and small business owners in Seoul who need customized education or are re-starting their businesses.
Even if participants do not secure employment opportunities at the Women's Job Fair, Seoul plans to support them in successfully finding jobs through follow-up management for up to six months after the event. After the fair, career counselors will continue to provide employment information and referrals through one-on-one consultations with job seekers who participated in the fair.
