Eight members from the 11th council were reappointed, and Kim Ki-hong, Standing Advisor of the law firm Yulchon, and Song Ki-won, former president of Jeonju MBC, newly joined.

The chairman is Kim Min-ki, Special Professor at Soongsil University's Peace and Unification Research Institute, and the vice chairman is Kang Jeong-hwa, President of the Korea Consumer Federation. The council will engage in various activities over the next year to protect viewers' rights and promote cable TV services, including listening to viewer complaints, gathering expert opinions, requesting corrections from related companies, and presenting opinions to the government.
