PCL Supplies COVID-19 Saliva Self-Test Kits to Canadian Government
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Young-won] PCL announced on the 5th that it has started selling COVID-19 saliva self-test kits to the Canadian government.
PCL's COVID-19 self-test kit is the first saliva test kit supplied to Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), the Canadian public procurement agency.
According to PCL, the Canadian government began securing stockpiles of rapid antigen kits in preparation for a resurgence of COVID-19 this winter and started contracting initial supplies through a bidding process. PCL participated in the bidding at the request of the Canadian government and successfully secured the contract for the initial supply.
Earlier, in May, PCL obtained the first approval for the use of a COVID-19 saliva self-test kit from Health Canada.
