20s Man Arrested and Sent to Prosecution for Stabbing Sleeping Cohabitant with a Weapon
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A woman in her 20s has been handed over to the prosecution on suspicion of attempting to kill her cohabiting boyfriend by wielding a weapon while he was asleep.
On the 5th, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced that they had sent Ms. A, a woman in her 20s suspected of attempted murder, to the prosecution under arrest on the 30th of last month.
Ms. A is accused of wielding a weapon at Mr. B, a man in his 30s with whom she lived, who was asleep at a house in Bangi-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, at around 5:40 p.m. on the 21st of last month, leaving him in critical condition.
After the crime, Ms. A reportedly called 119 herself at around 6:15 p.m. the same day, and the police who arrived with the fire department arrested her at the scene.
Mr. B was seriously injured and transported to the intensive care unit of a nearby hospital. Fortunately, he regained consciousness after surgery and is currently recovering.
