KOCCA Hosts Korean Animation Screenings in Busan and Gwangju
'2022 Community BIFF' and 'ACCF Animation Mokkoji'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 5th that Korean animation screenings will be held this month in Busan and Gwangju.
The former is the '2022 Community BIFF' on the 8th at Lotte Cinema Daeyeong in Busan, in collaboration with the Busan International Film Festival and the Korean Independent Animation Association. Animators gaining attention overseas, including Jeong Da-hee, Jeon Seung-bae, Moon Su-jin, Kim Kang-min, and Eric Oh, will appear and interact with the audience. Twenty-six outstanding animations, including director Kim Kang-min's "Dream," which won the grand prize at the Ottawa Animation Film Festival, will also be showcased.

The latter is the 'ACCF Animation Mokkoji' held on the 8th and 9th at the National Asian Culture Complex. Six independent animations such as "Tae-il," "Wilbengers: Suspicious Camping Chaos," "Battery Dad," and "Saturday Multi-family House" will be presented. "Tae-il" is a special jury prize winner at the Annecy Animation Festival. "Wilbengers: Suspicious Camping Chaos" is the first domestic 3D feature animation using the Unreal Engine.
