Naju-si, Creation of Flower Garden Around Mahan Culture Festival Venue
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 4th that autumn flowers were planted on approximately 70,000㎡ of city-owned land around the Banam-myeon tumulus cluster, where the Republic of Korea Mahan Cultural Festival will be held for two days on the 8th and 9th.
The vast area, equivalent to 10 times the size of a soccer field, is filled with blooming flower beds of 'Hwanghwa Cosmos', 'Flower Baekilhong', and 'Cosmos', harmonizing with the clear autumn sky to evoke a strong sense of autumnal atmosphere.
Additionally, a 1 km walking trail, 20 parasols, and 10 photo zones have been installed to offer healing to tourists.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, "I hope everyone enjoys the rich autumn atmosphere and fragrance in the colorful flower beds set against the backdrop of the Banam tumulus," and added, "We will do our best to welcome guests so that the Mahan Cultural Festival, held for the first time in three years, can promote Naju as the center of Mahan and serve as a signal for revitalizing tourism."
Meanwhile, the Republic of Korea Mahan Cultural Festival is scheduled to be held under the subtitle "Naju Festival, Play Mahan!" at the National Naju Museum area for two days on the 8th and 9th.
