The two ministers emphasized that North Korea's ongoing provocations cannot be tolerated and agreed to strengthen close communication and cooperation between the two countries and among the three countries of Korea, the U.S., and Japan regarding future response directions, including measures at the Security Council level.
The two ministers also agreed to continue enhancing security cooperation among Korea, the U.S., and Japan to respond to North Korea's nuclear and missile threats while maintaining a robust Korea-U.S. combined defense posture.
