Foreigners 'Saja'... KOSPI Recovers Above 2200 Intraday
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] The KOSPI index recovered the 2200 level during trading on the 4th as foreign buying continued.
As of 10 a.m. that day, the KOSPI index was trading at 2203.86, up 48.37 points (2.24%) from the previous trading day. Foreigners purchased about 141.3 billion KRW, driving the index up, while individuals and institutions sold net amounts of 120.6 billion KRW and 17.7 billion KRW, respectively.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics (3.95%), SK Hynix (3.73%), and LG Chem (2.61%) showed strong gains. Naver (NAVER) fell 3.88%.
The KOSDAQ index also recorded a rise of over 2%, recovering the 690 level. At the same time, the index stood at 690.12, up 17.47 points (2.60%) from the previous trading day. Institutions were the sole net buyers with 35.6 billion KRW, while individuals and foreigners sold net amounts of about 15.1 billion KRW each.
