Sales Doubled from July to September This Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chunhan] Market Kurly announced on the 3rd that sales of bulk products are increasing as high inflation continues.
According to Market Kurly, sales of bulk products from July to September doubled compared to the same period last year. In particular, sales of ready-to-eat meals, which are easy to store and can be used for various purposes such as meals and snacks, increased 4.7 times.
Preference for bulk yogurt products was also notable. In the third quarter of last year, bulk products accounted for 16% of total yogurt sales, but this year it increased to 21%.
A preference for bulk products also appeared in beauty items. Sales of bulk shampoos and treatments with capacities exceeding 1000ml increased sixfold, and sales of bulk body care products also surged twofold.

A Market Kurly official said, “Due to the impact of the global economic downturn, prices are expected to continue rising, causing customers to feel a heavy burden when shopping,” and added, “We will strive to offer more cost-effective bulk products so that customers can shop reasonably.”
