Enjoy the Autumn Night at Slow City Cheongsando with Starry Sky Tours!
[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] As Cheongsando, Asia's first Slow City, is dyed with purple cosmos, it was announced on the 30th that the 'Clean Wando Autumn Island Travel' event will be held under the theme of 'Playing Slow' on Cheongsando.
'Clean Wando Autumn Island Travel' will be held from the 30th to the 9th of next month, and on Cheongsando, activities such as Beombawi Star Gazing Tour, Sunset Walk, Harbor Pocha, and Discovery of Classics will take place.
In particular, the Star Gazing Tour was popular at the Slow Walking Festival held last spring, so it has been prepared again this time. Under the guidance of local resident interpreters, participants can enjoy the leisure of an autumn night while watching the stars in the night sky from the Beombawi Observatory.
The Cheongsando Slow Road is named because walking through the beautiful scenery of Cheongsando, where the mountains, sea, and sky are all blue, naturally slows down your pace. A 2-hour course called 'Sunset Walk,' where you walk while watching the sunset on the Cheongsando Slow Road (Dorak-ri Village, Seopyeonje Road, etc.), is also operated.
The Star Gazing Tour can be reserved and used through KakaoTalk under 'Starry Night, Milky Way Bus Tour,' and the Sunset Walk through 'Cheongsando Sunset Walk,' with no participation fee.
Two programs are operated at Cheongsando Port.
At the harbor pocha held at night, you can enjoy fresh seafood from Cheongsando, and on October 1st, 'Discovery of Cheongsando Classics' will be held with the UIM Quartet consisting of violin, viola, and cello.
Before the performance, you can also taste rice cakes and beverages made from rice cultivated in Cheongsando's guduljang rice paddies.
