[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Hankuk University of Foreign Studies announced on the 29th that Kang Il-gap, president of Gloris in the United States and an alumnus of the university (Department of Spanish Language, class of '79), donated $100,000 to the university development fund.
According to the university, President Park Jung-woon, who was visiting the alumni association in the Americas region last July, met Kang in New York and felt his determination to achieve the university's future vision and leap forward, which led to the donation decision. Kang said, "During my school days, meeting HUFS allowed me to nurture my dream of entering the international stage, and it greatly helped me with language skills and global business. For an individual to have a bigger goal and achieve it, 'education' must be supported, and I hope that the juniors at my alma mater will realize their dreams through HUFS education and grow into warm talents who contribute to society."
