Kim appeared at the Seoul Northern District Court at 10:11 a.m. on the 28th for the warrant hearing. He arrived at the court wearing a white mask and black top. The Nowon Police Station in Seoul applied for an arrest warrant against Kim on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Kim was arrested by the police on the evening of the 26th around 8 p.m. at a hotel located in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on suspicion of repeatedly using drugs. It is also known that he possessed 30 grams of methamphetamine. The typical single dose of methamphetamine is 0.03 grams, which amounts to approximately 1,000 doses.
The police reportedly began the investigation after obtaining Kim's confession to drug use during the questioning of a drug suspect in a separate case. The suspect and Kim are known to be acquaintances.
