The 3,589 Ballop shoes donated by GTS Global will be sold through Giving Plus, and the proceeds will be used to create jobs for people with disabilities. Some of the shoes will be delivered to low-income vulnerable groups such as elderly people living alone through the Knock-On Campaign, which Giving Plus will hold on October 2nd in celebration of Senior Citizens' Day. The Knock-On Campaign is a campaign that assembles emergency livelihood support kits from items donated by companies and distributes them to marginalized neighbors. Giving Plus is a sharing store specializing in corporate social responsibility that receives new products donated by companies, sells them, and uses the proceeds to employ vulnerable groups such as people with disabilities, multicultural families, and seniors, while protecting the environment through resource circulation.
Kim In-jong, head of the Giving Plus division at the Milal Sharing Foundation, said, "We are grateful for the warm-hearted donation of goods during a time when vulnerable groups are facing even greater difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and rising prices caused by the economic crisis."
Choi Sun-mi, CEO of GTS Global, said, "We decided to donate because we empathize with the value of Giving Plus in supporting the independence of vulnerable groups," adding, "We will continue warm sharing activities to care for and help neighbors in need throughout society."
