Foreign Minister Park Jin to Hold Korea-UK Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue on the 28th

Discussion on Key Developments in the Korean Peninsula and International Cooperation Measures
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] On the morning of the 28th, Foreign Minister Park Jin will hold the 7th Korea-UK Foreign Ministers' Strategic Dialogue with newly appointed UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.
A senior official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained, "In this strategic dialogue, we will discuss the direction of development in bilateral relations marking the 140th anniversary of exchanges next year, and exchange views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and key regional issues, as well as cooperation measures on the international stage."
The British Embassy in Korea also announced that during Cleverly's 2-day visit, he will pay a courtesy call on President Yoon Suk-yeol and hold a meeting with Minister Park.
Additionally, it was stated that he will visit the Joint Security Area (JSA) and the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) together with Lieutenant General Andy Harrison, Deputy Commander of the United Nations Command.
Meanwhile, Minister Park is scheduled to hold talks with Wopke Hoekstra, the Dutch Foreign Minister, in the afternoon.
Senior Spokesperson Lim said, "In this meeting, we will review the follow-up measures of the Korea-Netherlands summit held in June this year, and discuss ways to enhance economic security related to semiconductors and nuclear power, the situation on the Korean Peninsula and key regions, and cooperation on the international stage."

Spokesperson Lim emphasized, "The UK and the Netherlands are traditional allies of our country who participated in the Korean War. The visit of the two foreign ministers will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen value-based diplomatic partnerships with major European countries."
