Representative Lee Jae-myung to Visit Jeju on 28th for Town Hall Meeting... Listening to Party Development and Innovation Plans
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, visits Jeju to hear residents' opinions on the party's innovation plans.
The Democratic Party of Korea announced on the 27th that it will hold the "4th Jeju Edition of the Town Hall Meeting for Building a Better Democratic Party" at the Future Convention Center on the 28th.
The event will be attended by party leader Lee Jae-myung and other party leadership, as well as Wi Seong-gon, chairman of the Jeju Provincial Party, and National Assembly members Song Jae-ho and Kim Han-gyu. Any Democratic Party members and Jeju residents can participate.
The town hall meeting, moderated by Lee Hyun-cheol, chairman of the Jeju Provincial Party's Public Relations and Communication Committee, will allow party members and residents to freely ask questions about Jeju public sentiment and party innovation plans, with Lee Jae-myung responding on site.
The event will be broadcast live on the Democratic Party's official YouTube channel, "Deli Minju."
Wi Seong-gon, chairman of the Jeju Provincial Party, said, "This will be a meaningful occasion where Leader Lee Jae-myung meets residents directly to hear sincere stories," adding, "We will do our best to listen humbly to residents' opinions to create a 'Better Democratic Party' and a 'People's Livelihood Party Together with Residents.'"
Meanwhile, the Democratic Party plans to hold a budget policy consultation meeting at Jeju Provincial Office starting at 3 p.m. on the same day.
