Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office Forms and Operates 'Investigation Support Team' for Hyundai Outlet Fire

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office has formed and is operating an investigative support team to handle the fire incident at the Daejeon Hyundai Premium Outlet.
On the 27th, the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office announced that Jo Seok-gyu, head of the Criminal Division 3 (in charge of arson and reckless fire), was appointed as the team leader, with six team members including prosecutors from the Public Investigation Division participating in the investigation team.
The investigation team plans to support investigative efforts in cooperation with the police, the Labor Office, and others to determine the cause of the Hyundai Outlet fire.
Meanwhile, the Hyundai Outlet fire is estimated to have started around 7:45 a.m. the previous day in the loading dock on the basement level 1 of the outlet building.

As a result of the fire, seven people, including employees of loading and service companies, died at the scene, and one person was seriously injured and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital but is reported to be unconscious.
