On the 26th, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's Women and Youth Crime Investigation Unit announced that they arrested a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on the previous day on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, etc. (filming using a camera). Mr. A is known to be an active-duty Army second lieutenant.
Mr. A is accused of illegally filming parts of the bodies, such as the legs and buttocks, of multiple women on the street near Hongdaeipgu Station in Mapo-gu, Seoul, at around 3:30 PM the previous day.
A citizen who witnessed Mr. A's crime reported it to the police and directly apprehended him, handing him over to the responding officers. After checking Mr. A's mobile phone, the police arrested him on the spot.

A police official stated, "There are currently no plans to apply for an arrest warrant, but we will consider (applying for a warrant) as the investigation proceeds."
