[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A group of foreigners holding a drug party at a karaoke room in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province were arrested in large numbers by the police.
According to a summary of Asia Economy's coverage on the 26th, the Siheung Police Station in Gyeonggi arrested 26 people, including foreigners, around 6 a.m. on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. It is reported that there were 16 men and 10 women.
At around 5:40 a.m. that day, a 112 emergency call was received reporting that foreigners were holding a drug party at a karaoke room located in Jeongwang-dong, Siheung, prompting the police to dispatch officers to the scene. The police reportedly found substances suspected to be drugs at the site.
Currently, 13 of them have tested positive in a preliminary drug screening test.

A police official stated, "We have requested a detailed analysis from the National Forensic Service (NFS) and plan to ascertain the exact circumstances of the incident."
